Change Team Roles - Business Team Enablers

These individuals play a crucial role as they ensure that change initiatives are not just implemented but are actively embraced across the organization. 

Business Team Enablers act as a bridge between the change management team and business operations, enabling smooth transitions while minimising resistance and disruption. 

They ensure the operational teams impacted by change are equipped, supported, and empowered to successfully adopt and sustain new processes, tools, or behaviours.

By providing targeted support, addressing resistance, and fostering a culture of adaptability, they help bridge the gap between strategic change plans and practical, day-to-day operations.

Their core responsibilities include:

  • Supporting change implementation by:
    • Facilitating the rollout of new processes, technologies, or systems within the business teams.
    • Acting as a first point of contact for employees experiencing challenges during the transition.
    • Providing on-the-ground assistance to embed change into daily operations.
    • Gathering feedback from employees on the effectiveness and challenges of the change initiatives.
    • Communicating updates, timelines, and expectations clearly while ensuring teams feel heard & supported.
    • Monitoring adoption rates and identifying areas needing additional support or reinforcement.
    • Fostering collaboration between business teams and other workstreams to align efforts and address dependencies.
  • Championing change initiatives as they:
    • Advocate for the change, promoting its purpose & benefits
    • Encourage positive attitudes and address resistance by fostering buy-in.
    • Lead by example, embodying the desired behaviours and attitudes to inspire others.
  • Supporting the Training Lead role:
    • In the delivery of training programs and workshops
    • Offering one-on-one coaching or troubleshooting to help employees adopt new tools and processes.
    • Working with the People Work Steam Lead to identify gaps and plan how to address them.
  • Embedding the change by: 
    • Collaborating with operational leaders to reinforce change principles and best practices.
    • Ensuring changes becomes part of the teams culture and standard operating procedures.

By providing hands-on support, fostering engagement, and ensuring alignment, Business Team Enablers help drive a seamless transition, making change a lasting success within the organization.
