Change Team Roles - People Work Stream Lead
The People Work Steam Lead is responsible for managing the human side of organizational change. Ensuring the organisation’s workforce is not only prepared for but also embraces change, enabling a smooth and successful transition.
Their core responsibilities are to:
- Collaborate with the change manager and project/change team(s) to define the change management strategy, specifically focusing on the people aspect.
- Conduct Stakeholder Analysis to:
- Identify and analyse key stakeholders, understanding their influence and impact on the change initiative
- Identify potential people-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that the people-related aspects align with overall project goals and timelines.
- Work with the Communications Manager to:
- Develop tailored communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed, aligned, and supportive.
- Act as a liaison between leadership, employees, and other work streams to address concerns and feedback.
- Conduct Change Readiness Assessments; assess the organisation’s readiness for change through surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder feedback.
- Conduct Change Impact Assessment to:
- Identify how changes will impact employees; their roles, responsibilities, and workflows.
- Develop action plans to address these impacts and minimize disruption.
- Work with the Training Lead to assist with training delivery; facilitating training classes and workshops to equip employees with the skills and knowledge needed for the transition.
- Embed the change by:
- Ensuring it is embedded in the organizational culture through reinforcement strategies, such as ongoing training, leadership support, and communication.
- Identifying champions within the organization to drive long-term adoption and sustainment.
- Reporting on key metrics, such as adoption rates, employee engagement, and feedback, to leadership
